Before & After Landscaping Shots

Clean Air Yard Care services the greater Victoria area. Crews head out each morning with solar powered trailers, from a downtown base at the Victoria Roundhouse, and try to make the world more beautiful. On this page you can review recent projects and get a sense of the work we do.

Clean Air Yard Care design, build and maintain gardens in a variety of landscapes, from bespoke garden builds in Oak Bay, to long-term maintenance of large condo developments across Victoria.

As one crew member puts it: “We feel blessed to live in one of the world’s most inspiring places, and love being outside, working with mother nature to bring health to our gardens and landscapes.”

Big thanks to Clean Air Yard Care for their landscaping work on our home! This is just a fraction of it, and it definitely makes this view much more appealing. Thanks Richard! 👏

Mulch!

There are good reasons to mulch garden beds, including improved water retention and plant health. Mulch acts to suppress weeds, and helps to regulate soil temperature – this directly influences seed germination, root development, nutrient uptake, as well as overall plant growth. This all leads to stronger plants that are ready to thrive.

But the most immediate effect of laying down fresh mulch is aesthetic: the rich, dark mulch contrasts beautifully with lawn and hardscape edging, giving the plants greater definition and ‘pop’. Mulch makes for an easy and inexpensive way to revitalize tired beds. Clean Air Yard Care uses Farm to Garden mulch, an OMRI-Listed Organic Soil Developer that is guaranteed to be free of weeds, seeds, and contaminants.

Winter Projects

A question we hear often in winter is: “ What do you do out there when it’s so cold?”

One answer, is that the cold gives us time to work on large renovation projects which we don’t have room to schedule when the rain and warmth keep us busy with maintenance.

In the series below, you can follow a nine month restoration project in Esquimalt, October 2024 to July 2025, in which the team remediate a wild area overgrown with blackberry, Ivy and dead escallonia.
